Purse Crazy

The last thing I needed was another purse.  I have a closet full of them at home that is now spilling out.  My husband thinks I am crazy, but if it is the only addiction I have - then I don't think it's so bad :)

I bought this one yesterday.  It is different than anything I have and will add a little spice to my outfits.  I think it will look especially good when I stroll the streets of Bahamas at the end of the month.

Big Announcements... For Real This Time

Good Thursday Morning everyone! So, I have been holding back on two announcements for the past couple of days and am finally able to share them with you. I hesitated calling them 'big announcements', because last time I did, I got criticism saying that the annoucement wasn't big enough. Well, since there are two annoucements being clumped into one post, I hope that if you don't find them big annoucements, together you will find them significant enough. Firstly, I want to share with you that we have finally acquired the domain name LifeofThree.com , which should be easier to remember :). I have recently got complaints about the new domain name being too long, so hopefully this one will be easier to remember. You can still use the blogspot address as well.

Writers LifeofThree.com

Second announcement, and I am hoping that you will find this one to be a big one, I am being featured on the main page of The Huffington Post's Style Page. When I first found out that they were going to be featuring my winter style on their page, I kind of thought it would be a small article, hidden amongst other articles. But low and behold, I checked the Huffington Post this morning, as I do everyday, only to see my picture front and center. The picture was taken for my 'Love Where you Live' post and showcased winter style. I am happy that they used my picture as the feature for the article, and love how they even gave credit to E for snapping the great picture. So please, head on over to Huffington Post to check out fashion from coast to coast. I better be off now, but have a great day and don't forget to check it out at http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/style/.

Fast Forward

Good afternoon everyone. I just got back to my desk from lunch and decided to do a quick post about some recent Fashion Finds I've recently been drooling over. Since our girls trip to the Bahamas is now less than a month away, I am in full 'beach trend' mode and spend my free time at home scouring the internet looking for cute things to wear while we are down South. I only recently became a fan of Winter Fashion, but have always had a love for Summer Fashion. In the winter, I wear mostly cold, dark colors and usually choose comfort over style. But in the summer, it's all about beauty baby. I love the colors, the fabrics, the patterns... everything about summer clothes. I love that you can throw on a gorgeous dress with a pair of pretty sandals and go out in that like it ain't no thang. None of this layer upon layer, hat and glove, clunky boot business... just easy; no fuss, no muss. I'm a beach and sun kind of girl and know how blessed I am to get to escape to the Caribbean at least once a year.

Now I know that my North American readers probably just cringed at the thought of putting on a bathing suit, and I have to say: I'm With You Sister. My skin is pale and dry, I'm not in as good shape as I would like to be, and I may need to shave my legs. Well, I have to start thinking about it because I'll have to throw one of these puppies on in less than a month. At least you may have more time. I love the navy bikini with the jewels on top left. Though I sometimes prefer to go with a plain, simple bikini, it's fun every once in a while to 'dress up' when going to the beach. Plus, I'm a sucker for navy. The black one is probably my favorite. It is easy peasy and definitely would be one that I would wear all the time. I love black, even when it comes in the form of a bikini. Now we get to the white cutout... a girl can only wish. You have to have an amazing body to pull this off, and unfortunately, my body is less than stellar. It would give bad tan lines too... so I didn't want to wear you anyway! The watermelon one is just adorable. I couldn't help myself and had to include it. All looks from Asos.com.

Dresses are hands down the most purchased item in my wardrobe. I love me a good dress. I love how you can just throw one on and either dress it up with a blazer and heels, or dress it down with flats and a leather jacket. I don't know which one of these would be my favorite, but I think I may have to go with the navy. Oh navy how you know me too well. These dresses are all so easy and would be perfect for dinner down South, or paired over tights in the colder weather (the peach one may be a little too summery for that though). Again, all looks are from Asos.com.

And just because I love this dress and think it would make an amazing dress for a night when say... you know you're gonna run into an ex-boyfriend. Or something along those lines ;)

A Sweet Gift from an Even Sweeter Lady

Good Wednesday morning everyone! I am in a great mood today because it's Wednesday, which means it's almost Thursday, which means it's almost Friday, which means T and Mama will be home in two days and we miss them! It's also a good morning because I got an amazing surprise this morning. The very sweet receptionist in my office just got back from a trip to the Club Med in the Bahamas. Before she went, I told her about how my best friend E and I went to Club Med when we were twelve and ate so much of their White Chocolate Bread that we practically made ourselves sick. It had to have been the most delicious bread I had ever tasted. She had never tried it, but told me she looked forward to now that I have spoken so highly of it. Well, when I came in this morning she was stading there, all tanned, holding a fresh loaf of this delicious bread. Though she found it a little sweet, she said she had to order a loaf for me since I had raved about it so much. The bread hardly made it out of the wrapping before I was sneaking a taste and I can tell you, it's just as delicious as I remembered it to be! I wrote to E telling her about the gift I received and she couldn't believe it... she's also very jealous. What a great way to start a Wednesday morning! I'll be back later for another post, but I wanted to share this story first as well as the recipe which you can find here. I'm off to enjoy a toasted piece of my White Chocolate Bread. Have a great day and I hope that you're morning is as sweet as mine has been.
